PHOTO SERVICES

PHOTO DOCUMENTATION OF ARTWORK

This type of photography is ideal if you need a record of your artwork to use in your portfolio, to show on your website, submit to juried shows, apply for solo exhibitions or for applying to art schools.

The resolution of the image will be sufficient to print it at about letter size or a bit larger with an excellent photographic quality. This is what most magazines, books and catalogues would require you to send them for publication.

The photos are colour corrected against the original and processed on a colour calibrated system to assure high colour accuracy.

Bringing your artwork to our studio will give you an affordable fixed rate per piece. We can also come to your location with our mobile studio. This service will be charged by the hour.

We have been specializing in artwork documetation since 2002 and have extensive experience dealing with complex subjects like heavily varnishedd paintings, paintings under glass, extremly large pieces and installation, etc.

DIGITAL CAPTURE FOR LIFE SIZE REPRODUCTION

Scannoning at 300dpi is what you will need if you would like to get a life size copy of a painting in the form of a giclée print or for an extreme enlargement, a poster or a wall size print.

The technique used to capture these kinds of images is different from that used for documenting photography and is more time consuming. This results in a higher cost per image usually charged by the square foot of the original painting.

 

DOCUMENTING INSTALLATIONS

An installation is the form of art itself, and having a good record of it is the only way to preserve it. The lighting in art galleries is usually very challenging from a photography point of view. Our experience working in this environment and the special techniques we employ allow us to capture the installation at its best.

We come to the location of your installation to photograph it in all aspects that are important to you. Photography on location is charged by the hour.

DOCUMENTING EVENTS

If you are interested in having a photographic reportage of the public or private event you plan to hold, we offer photo coverage of events. Our unobtrusive style of shooting will not interfere with the flow of your event. Candid shots, which we prefer to ubiquitous posed smiley shots, will reflect the atmosphere of the event.

Photography on location is charged by the hour.

PORTRAITS

Many artists know the pain of getting a photo portrait that would represent their vision of themselves. Our portrait sessions are built in a way that makes you feel comfortable and allows you to participate in selecting the best shots.

Portrait sessions usually last about an hour, during which time we try different lighting and poses to find that perfect shot. Portrait sessions can be done in the studio or on a location of your choice.
