SCANNING

Many artists who started their work in pre-digital times have collections of slides and photographs of their art. If you need to use them on your website or in some publication, we will scan them for you. If you have shots that are important for you, digitizing (scanning) will help to preserve them. It is well known fact that colour photographs and slides will fade over time and most importantly will lose the accuracy of colour information they hold.

We will scan your originals to the resolution that adequately preserves details (up to 4000dpi) and, if required, we will do colour correction of scanned images. Scanned originals will be returned to you, unharmed.

We offer special rates and discounts to customers interested in digitizing large collections of photographs, slides or negatives.

After scanning of a faded photo or a slide, colours in the image often need correction, as you can see in the example below:

The same applies to images from digital cameras. If your photo has a strong colour cast because it was shot with an incorrect colour balance setting, most of the time we can correct this problem.

PHOTO RETOUCHING

Retouching can correct multiple problems with an image, for example: correction of perspective and lens distortions, removing unwanted objects or highlights, recolouring, etc. Photo retouching is a good solution when there is no possibility of rephotographing the object.
