We specialize in large format giclée printing. Giclée print is a term for fine art digital prints produced on specialized inkjet printers that provide a very high accuracy of colour reproduction, extended range of printable colours and longevity of prints.
The latest technologies utilized in our printing equipment allow us to produce high impact prints:
- next generation pigment inks of archival quality. Tests show an expected longevity of well over 100 years before the ink will start to fade at normal room conditions.
- Wide gamut inks, high resolution printing heads and advanced ink mixing algorithms produce vibrant prints with sharp looking details.
- Colours remain consistent under different light sources.
- Very high resistance to high humidity.
- Large format prints up to 44″ x 115″ and larger on special order.
We offer prints on archival quality, acid free canvas.
Each canvas print is coated with a scratch and fade resistant, museum grade, UV protective varnish to ensure your prints will stand the test of time and are easy to handle.
Prints on canvas are delivered as a roll for your own stretching or can be stretched on 3/4″ or 1.5″ stretcher bars – ready to hang. Custom frame sizes are supported.
Sides of stretched canvas are left blank if your are going to frame it. For a gallery wrap the sides can be printed in solid colour or with a mirrored image.
We offer a variety of archival quality, acid free papers.
Matte, textured, satin and semi-gloss papers to fit your project. We will advise you which paper will produce best results based on your image.
If you are going to supply your own images, we prefer to work with TIFF files in AdobeRGB colour space but will work with other common formats and colour spaces.
For the best reproduction of details, the resolution of images has to be at least 300dpi. 240dpi will still look very good while 200dpi or lower will produce softer details and is recommended for images that will be viewed from a distance.
